A little guidance
Keep your journey moving.
From your first idea to a saved itinerary. Find the next step, wherever you are in planning.
Start with an idea
Do I need to know exactly where to go?
You can start with an open mind. Describe what interests you, who is travelling and the pace you enjoy. Dates and destinations can be approximate. The optional questions help you add detail; you do not need to complete every field.
Can I choose places first?
Explore China brings together places and travel ideas. Keep the ones you like, then bring your selection into planning. You can review or remove your choices before generating the itinerary.
What happens when I generate an itinerary?
After you agree to the use of AI for planning, your notes and choices form the brief. You can start reading as the itinerary is written. Writing complete and saving complete are separate states: wait for the saved confirmation before treating the itinerary as safely stored.
Read & adjust
How do I find the day I need?
Start with the overview, then use the day navigation to jump to a day. Read the route, overnight plan and practical notes alongside each day’s activities. Place details are available when there is a matching entry in our library.
Can I change a place in the itinerary?
Where a place offers alternatives, choose one to preview the proposed changes. Compare the affected passages, then confirm when they suit your trip. Some passages cannot yet be changed this way. After a saved change, Undo restores the previous revision.
Why do some places have no photo or detail card?
An itinerary can include places that are not yet matched to our library. Their written recommendation remains part of your itinerary; a missing photo or detail card means we do not have that material available. It is not a claim that the place has been checked.
Is the itinerary a booking confirmation?
No. Your itinerary is a planning recommendation. Before booking or setting out, check current opening hours, ticket availability, transport and any access requirements with the relevant operators.
Save & return
How do I reopen my journey?
Keep your reference ID and use the browser where you started. Continue journey shows available recent journeys and lets you enter an ID. A reference ID alone does not grant access to a private itinerary. Clearing site data, using private browsing or switching devices may remove access.
The page cannot confirm a save. What should I do?
Keep the page open and use its retry or check-again action. An uncertain response can mean the save reached the server but its reply did not reach you. If the page shows different local and saved versions, compare them before choosing how to continue.
Can I ask for my information to be reviewed or deleted?
Use the contact form and include your journey reference or message receipt. Do not send browser access tokens. The request needs to be verified; sending it does not mean deletion has finished. The data-use page explains the current storage and access rules.
